Common reasons photos are rejected

  • The file is smaller than 10 KB or larger than 200 KB.
  • The file is not JPG/JPEG.
  • Your face does not fill most of the image. The bulletin says 80% of the image should be your face, with ears visible and no mask.
  • The background is not white.
  • The photo is not recent. The bulletin asks for a photo taken after the date it states.

What is the NEET photo size in KB?

Between 10 KB and 200 KB, in JPG/JPEG format, according to the NTA Information Bulletin NEET (UG) 2026.

Where do I resize the NEET signature?

The signature has its own limit in the bulletin. Use Maru's NEET signature page, which is set up for that file.

Does the NEET photo have to be in colour?

No. The bulletin allows colour or black and white, with a white background.

Does the bulletin give a pixel size?

No. It sets only the file size and format. Maru uses a standard passport-style frame by default, and labels it as a Maru default.

Does Maru upload my photo?

No. Your photo is processed in your browser.
