By using Maru (maru.daeq.in) you agree to these terms.

1. What Maru is

Maru is a free tool that helps you resize, crop, compress and check photos and signatures against published requirements. It runs in your browser.

2. Not a government service

Maru is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government, embassy, passport office or exam body. Names of countries, documents and exams are used only to describe the requirement a page helps with.

3. No guarantee of acceptance

We base every requirement on the official source and show you that source and the date we checked it. However:

  • Requirements change, and authorities may apply rules a tool can’t check, such as expression, lighting or likeness.
  • Maru’s checks report what a file measures against the rules shown. They are not an approval.
  • Always confirm the current requirements on the official site before you submit. You are responsible for what you submit.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to your files. Processing happens on your device, so we never receive them. Don’t use Maru to process images you have no right to use.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at abusive rates, or use it to create fraudulent identity documents.

Maru shows ads and may contain affiliate links, labelled as such. We aren’t responsible for third-party sites or products.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Maru is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, daeq is not liable for any loss arising from your use of Maru, including a rejected application, a missed deadline or a fee.

8. Changes and contact
